Jane Fonda järjestää viikoittaisia ilmastonmuutosmielenosoituksia Capitol Hillillä Washington DC:ssä. Miekkareista on bongattu jo ties keitä julkkiksia. Viimeisimmässä mielenilmauksessa oli mukana tuore Golden Globe -voittaja Joaquin Phoenix.
Fonda paljasti, ettei ollut edes kutsunut miekkosta miekkariin, vaan hän saapui paikalle omasta tahdostaan.
Fonda itse on jo pidätetty useampaan kertaan, mutta tällä kertaa putkaan lähti Phoenix.
Phoenix on itse aktiivinen hyväntekijä. Hänen mielestään ihmiskunnan pitäisi muuttaa ruokavalio vegaaniseksi, jotta voisimme taistella ilmastonmuutosta vastaan.
Phoenix pidätettiin heti puheensa pitämisen jälkeen.
