PlayStation-yksinoikeuspeli The Last of Us on yksi kaikkien aikojen parhaimmista kauhupeleistä. HBO suunnittelee nyt sen pohjalta tehtyä sarjaa pelintekijä Neil Druckmannin kanssa. Sarjan toinen vetäjä on Chernobyl-sarjan tehnyt Craig Mazin.
Druckmann on The Last of Us -pelien käsikirjoittaja ja johtava tuottaja. Pelin jatko-osa The Last of Us 2 julkaistaan pian.
Sarjan julkaisuajankohta ei ole vielä selvillä.
Sarjan toinen tuottaja on Sony Pictures Television ja se on ensimmäinen PlayStation Productionsin tuotanto.
