Jenkkikoomikko, näyttelijä Patton Oswalt sai vihaista viestiä Twitterissä. Oswalt kävi kommentoimassa presidentti Trumpin viestiä, kun eräs mies vastasi hänelle aggressiiviseen sävyyn.
– Tajusin juuri miksi olin niin onnellinen, kun kuolit Blade Trinityssä.
Miekkonen lähetti myös muita vihaisia viestejä Oswaltille.
Oswalt vastasi samalla mitalla takaisin, mutta kävi kuitenkin katsomassa miehen omaa seinää. Hän tajusi, että mies on terveydellisesti todella pahassa jamassa.
Siitä seurasi ihmeellinen tarina, joka palauttaa uskon ihmiskuntaan ja kyseenalaistaa koko poliittisen kahtiajaon.
Oswalt tajusi, että hänen vastapelurillaan, Vietnam-veteraani Michael Beattyllä, on oma GoFundMe-sivu pystyssä, koska hän oli taistellut jo joitakin viikkoja diabeteksen aiheuttamasta ketosidoosista ja koomasta aiheutunutta verenmyrkytystä vastaan.

Oswalt itse lahjoitti miehelle 2 000 dollaria. Tämän jälkeen Oswaltin fanit alkoivat lahjoittamaan rahaa ja pyydetty 5 000 dollarin raja ylittyi nopeasti. Beatty sai lopulta yhteensä 13 000 dollaria.
Beatty vastasi nopeasti:
